Bringing the sounds of the Big Easy to  The Steel City since 2021

The Front Porch Band started as a group of musical instrument repair colleagues who shared a passion for the early history of New Orleans jazz music. Now entering their fifth year together, they've become a staple of the Penn Avenue arts & cultural district's Unblurred art gallery crawl, gathering crowds of dancers, listeners, and curious neighbors around the porch on the first Friday of each month since 2021.


Veteran rhythm section Jake Epstein, Dan McClymonds, and Greg Wilson welcome a rotating cast of friends and featured instrumentalists currently anchored by clarinetist Joe Wingenfeld and trombonist Pete Vilter on the frontline.
