Greg's performance practice is centered around acoustic instruments played by wholly

human musicians who connect to audiences with their heads, hearts, and hands.

Black lives matter. It is an incontrovertible fact of history that jazz music is inherently anti-fascist. The minority roots

of this music are central to all of my performance ensembles. I honor and acknowledge the Black originators of

"America's classical music" at each performance, and I practice direct reparations by donating a portion of

all performance and recording proceeds to charitable organizations that preserve and expand performance

opportunities for Black / POC / minority musicians. The history of American music is the history of Black music,

and I am happy to share resources for the study of this history with anyone interested in learning more.

I currently lead three jazz bands in Pittsburgh:
